The Dream becomes a reality.....
Having sold our city townhouse we set off to Tasmania in 2014 with our camper to find a piece of clean fertile land with a decent water source and the space to become self-sufficient eventually.
We were delighted to find a magnificent renovated timber farm house set on 15 acres of rolling green hills overlooking Port Huon. The house is now known fondly as the house that Jack built. Jack was a dairy farmer producing raw and fermented dairy to the local Huon Valley community way back before fermenting and 'raw' became fashionable. He was an expert builder as evidenced by the timber wood, garden and chicken sheds.
We rented the farm out for a year until the opportunity presented to realise our dream of a holiday house/ nutritional retreat and so began the journey of a lifetime. Our furniture arrived in a container from the mainland and we set about sprucing the gardens and adding the finishing touches to what we believe is now an inviting and comforting space.
We know that you will love Wattle Grove- whether you come for Nutritional healing or for a Simple Holiday we have many options available.
